Eel-snake creature
| |
This article contains information of a non-canon subject that is not a part of the established Halo universe. |
The Eel-Snake Creature is a reptilian creature native to Harvest, the main planet in the game Halo Wars.[1] Its function was to act as what Ensemble Studios refer to as "Ambient Life", or wild animals put in the game to make it seem more realistic. It, along with other ambient life, was actually cut from the final game.
It has a sharp, possibly barbed, tail and scales on its lower head which form a hardened carapace around the rest of its body.
It looks similar to the Harvest Whale despite the color, and may or may not be the same creature.
[edit] Deleted material
Eel-snake creature is part of the deleted material cut from the Halo games.
When developing the Halo games, Bungie, Ensemble Studios, and 343 Industries have had to cut some content from the final games. As such, many aspects of the games, such as vehicles, gameplay, design, and story elements, were not included in the final versions. Many of these elements have been confirmed by such material as videos and commentary, interviews with developers, and released concept art.
