[edit] In the Halo universe
The city of Sparta is located there. The ORION Program and its successors (SPARTAN-II and III programs) were named after and based of off the city's war-like inhabitants. Greece is related with many things such as characters, places or events in Halo universe. Areas such as Adrianople, Istanbul (Constantinople), Cyprus, and Macedonia are considered to be Greek, though whether they are held by Greece in Halo is completely unknown.
The only thing that confirms the existence of Greece during the Human-Covenant war is the UNSC Orbital Defense Platform Athens Station which was held in geosynchronous orbit over Athens.
[edit] Greek references in Halo
