Usergroups are coalitions of users who unite under a common cause to improve some aspect of Halopedia. A usergroup is a way to organize users to plan and accomplish a stated objective using a usergroup page as well as membership which sometimes includes a ranking system, leadership positions, and so on.

[edit] Usergroups must be founded by a group of users
The purpose of a usergroup is to unite a section of the users, ergo it is called a "usergroup." One-user usergroups are counter-productive.
[edit] Usergroups must have a charter
Each usergroup must have a purpose that contributes constructively to Halopedia. Usergroups must have an organizational charter on their group page, and a central theme that clearly dictates what the usergroup was created to do and how it will be accomplished. The usergroup's organizational structure must also be clearly stated with how at least the top leadership position is elected.
[edit] Usergroups must be open to everyone
Halopedia usergroups are designed for improvement of Halopedia, not as a role-playing game. Any registered user, regardless of other group affiliations, should have equal opportunity to join a usergroup; usergroups should be cooperative, not competitive.
[edit] Usergroup templates must go on article "talk" pages
Halopedia usergroups often target specific articles for improvement, and create templates to be placed on targeted articles to let members know that article is a target for improvement. These templates must be placed only on the talk page of the article, above all other talk. That way, the article itself is not cluttered by group templates.
