The shield generator ship,^[1] is a class of United Nations Space Command starship. Not much is known about the vessel other than that it is described as a city-block sized transport that can carry tons of equipment and materials.

• The shield ship was first seen in the concept art of the Halo series.^[1] It was also seen in Electronic Gaming Monthly’s November 2002 issue.
• In Halo Wars Pods fill a similar role and function, lifting heavy machinery from an orbiting support ship to the planetary surface. The Pods may have been conceptually influenced by the shield ship.

1. ^ Although the ship is identified as a shield generator ship in concept art for Halo 2, it is likely that the similar vessel seen in Halo: Fall of Reach - Boot Camp is merely based on the concept in terms of outward appearance and does not actually possess energy shielding, given the fact the scene takes place well before the contact with the Covenant.
